Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War

Meeting Minutes—December 16, 2006—Richard’s Restaurant

Before opening the meeting, Commander Teller gave Tom Hagan and Bob Ladd from the Howard County Veterans Council the opportunity to speak to the group about a fundraiser project. and their offer to help us and invite us to be involved with them. The Council meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at the Trustee Office. Meetings are open to the public. The fundraiser, which was established for the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Crown Point Cemetery, involves selling two items: a lithograph of the monument by local artist Patty Host. The lithograph will sell for $15.00, and we return $7.00 to the Council; the other item is a replica of the monument which will sell for $35.00, and we return $20.00. So, by participating in this fundraising project, we will also help our treasury.
