KOKOMO
CANNON |
| Perhaps the largest project, in
terms of financial and political scope, the Somers Camp has ever
undertaken was the restoration of the "Kokomo Cannon". The gun tube lay
on a garage floor with no carriage. We raised the money for the carriage
through various efforts. These efforts were spearheaded by members Tom
Crawford, PDC, and Alan Teller, PDC. There was a large learning curve
and political wall to scale. This is a picture of the cannon after
restoration. It is our intention to have more pictures and stories about
this cannon in the future. |
